Wave after wave, we’ve stayed optimistic that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. As we move into summer and Canada achieves one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, we truly are “nearly there”. As your City Councillor, it’s been easy to be hopeful over these 16 months of pandemic life. Why? Every day I’ve experienced first-hand the
leadership, resilience and compassion of communities across Beaches-East York.
I am so grateful for the strength and resilience shown by this community in the wake of this devastating pandemic. As we start to win the health battle, our focus has to turn to the much longer, more stubborn work of making systemic change and building a city that is more inclusive, equal and effective.
I hope you’ll take a few moments to share your priorities for Beaches-East York as we head into this all-important recovery stage. As always, thank you for all the ways you show local leadership, and support this incredible community.
