I have some unfortunate news to share in regards to Winter Stations and the incredibly popular Noodle Feed installation. Noodle Feed was regrettably removed from Woodbine Beach earlier this week. It’s massive popularity resulted in tears to the fabric, and the stuffing of each noodle began to spread across the beach. While we strive to realize the vision of all the winning artists, our priority is always the safety of our guests and managing the environmental impact on the beach. Our fabrication team determined that the damage was irreparable, and so the design has been removed. Our deepest apologies to the winning team, iheartblob. Their design truly captured the spirit of Winter Stations and was a hit with our younger visitors.
However – the augmented reality app that worked in tandem with the installation is still operating! The QR codes used to inform the app have been moved to the Winter Stations pop-up at 1961 Queen Street East.
