With vaccine supply steadily increasing in Ontario, there are more options available for folks to get their shot. I’ll be updating this page each week with vaccine clinics in the East End, operated by Michael Garron Hospital, as well as with eligibility for second doses. Check back here each week for up-to-date information on what options are available to you!
For First Doses
Anyone over the age of 12 is able to book an appointment for their first dose at a City-run mass immunization clinic. You can book these appointments through the Provincial online portal here or by calling 1-833-943-3900. You can also book an appointment at the Thorncliffe Park Community Hub, run by Michael Garron Hospital, by visiting their webpage here.
There are a number of pharmacies that are currently offering first-doses of Pfizer for anyone age 12+ and Moderna for anyone 18+. You can find a full list of these pharmacies on the Provincial website here.
I’ll be hosting a virtual Town Hall with Councillor Gary Crawford and Toronto Public Health tomorrow, June 16th, to answer your questions on the vaccine and help you get your shot. You can register by:
- Call 1-833-490-0778 from 6pm on Wednesday to take part. You will also have the option to ask a question live.
- Listen in online during the event at toronto.ca/vaccinetownhall. You will also have the option to submit a question for our panel through that page.
- Text VACCINE to 1-833-750-0888 and reply TTH when prompted.
- You may also receive a recorded message from me just before the event reminding you to join.
For Second Doses
Our vaccine rollout continues to speed up, but the availability for second doses is still limited. We’ll be hearing more information about this eligibility expanding soon and I’ll update you here as soon as I know more!
Anyone who received a first dose of Pfizer or Moderna on or before May 9th, and anyone who received AstraZeneca at least eight weeks ago, is eligible to book their second dose appointment through the Provincial portal here or by calling 1-833-943-3900. If your first shot was AstraZeneca, you can choose to receive a second shot of the same vaccine or receive a shot of Pfizer or Moderna.
To find a list of pharmacies that are offering second doses of AstraZeneca, please visit the Provincial portal here and check the box “AstraZeneca (second dose only)” under the “Filter locations” tab on the left side of the page. Appointments are based on the date of your first dose!
